Located at the entrance Forbes State Forest, a 5 min drive from Hidden Valley Ski Resort, a 15 min from Seven Springs and 30 min from Ohio Pilye, this beautifully designed mountain A-frame cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway or a week long retreat.

"A Perfect Getaway!" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This cabin exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful surroundings. The views of the mountains were absolutely breathtaking, and the cabin itself was cozy and well-equipped. The interior was charming with a rustic touch, and the fireplace was perfect for chilly evenings. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and we loved spending time on the deck, surrounded by nature. The hosts were incredibly responsive and thoughtful, providing us with all the information we needed for a seamless stay. It was the perfect place to unwind, relax, and recharge. Highly recommend!

"Idyllic Escape!" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a magical place! Our stay at this cabin was nothing short of amazing. The cabin itself was spacious yet cozy, with huge windows that let in tons of natural light and offered stunning views of the surrounding forest. The cabin had all the amenities we needed, and the attention to detail in its design really made it feel like a special retreat. The hosts made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and their tips on local attractions were so helpful. If you’re looking for an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle, this is it!

"Winter Escape!" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our winter stay at Black Fern cabin was absolutely magical! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by winter wonderland. The cabin was perfect—warm, cozy, and beautifully decorated with a rustic vibe that made it feel like a home away from home. We loved curling up by the fireplace after a day of skiing. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the hot tub was a welcome treat after a day on the mountains. The views of the waking up to fresh snow each morning felt like something out of a storybook. The hosts were fantastic, providing a detailed guide for local activities and making sure we had everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for a better winter vacation and can’t wait to return next year! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and adventurous mountain getaway!

Cozy Escape ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My daughter and I stayed with a couple friends and their children on an incredibly snowy January weekend, it snowed over 18 inches during our stay. We had a great time, we did not even leave the cabin during our stay. The cabin is very spacious and has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The kitchen had everything needed to make our meals. We all went outside for a while to play in the snow and enjoyed the outdoor hot tub as well. The beds are very comfortable and have wonderfully soft sheets and blankets, they were very cozy. Kudos to whomever handles the snowplowing, the roads and driveway to the cabin were in better shape than the interstate! We look forward to visiting again

Table Rock Ridge will be our second location on Fern Mountain. This property boasts 180 degree views of the mountains and on clear days the Pittsburgh city skyline! The sunsets from this property are not to be missed so take a short hike from Black Fern Cabin to Table Rock and see for yourselves!
